DUQ is Pittsburgh's first public radio station and a leading source for local, national and international news, information and jazz. We are Pittsburgh's primary source for a wide range of programming from National Public Radio, Public Radio International and American Public Media.
DUQ broadcasts with a 25,000 watt signal from a tower in the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh. We have four repeaters located in Johnstown (broadcasting at 100.5), Ligonier (broadcasting at 104.1), Somerset (broadcasting at 104.1) and New Baltimore (broadcasting at 92.3). The station broadcasts 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
As a nonprofit public radio station broadcasting from Duquesne University, over 50% of DUQ's operations and programs are funded by listener contributions. Additional support is provided by program underwriters, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Duquesne University and both local and national foundations.
